Injectables

Injectable treatments are performed at The Laser & Rejuvenation Center by Dr. Gold, a mid-level practitioner (nurse practitioner or physician assistant) or a registered nurse. They can be sorted into two categories: dermal fillers and neuromodulators, often referred to as neurotoxins or toxins for short. Many people think of getting more volume in their lips and automatically think of Botox. You most definitely do not want Botox in your lips! Botox is a neuromodulator that smoothes away lines, such as the glabellar lines between your eyes often referred to as “elevens” or “bunny lines.”

Cosmetic fillers are used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles such as the lines around your mouth, to restore facial volume lost through the aging process, and to enhance or augment your existing features like the lips and cheeks. Toxins, on the other hand, help minimize fine lines. The Laser & Rejuvenation Center staff typically use toxins around the eyes and up, while fillers are usually used below the eyes and lower.

These are the different brands of FDA-approved dermal fillers and toxins, many of which Tennessee Clinical Research Center has done the studies on:
